Description: This 20x20 space in the Exhibit hall will feature vendors for assistive technology products. Attendees will have the opportunity to see product demonstrations and ask specific questions to the vendors.

Web Accessibility In Mind (WebAIM) Training

Schedule: Wednesday, November 6, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm; Thursday, November 7, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Description: The South Carolina Assistive Technology Program (SCATP) in partnership with SCAET is hosting two-day WebAIM training during EdTech. WebAIM.org’s accessibility experts will provide intensive training focusing on accessibility principles & techniques. Training is available to registered attendees. At the end of the course participants will receive a certificate of completion. You can attend both days, or Day 1 or Day 2 for free when registered for EdTech. It is highly recommended to attend both days.

Description: These sessions presented by the US Department of Education-Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will discuss the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA), student privacy issues, student data security, and to answer questions.

Description: This event will allow attendees to take proctored test for various certifications. Tests offered are either free or have a required fee that attendees pay the vendor directly. A schedule of tests offered and the costs associated (if any) will be available prior to the conference.

Assistive Technology (AT) MEGAShare

The AT MEGAShare event is an opportunity for EdTech attendees to participate in a live walkthrough “safari” that will deliver a showcase of interactive, hands-on AT featured by various exhibitors. Attendees will go wild for this AT petting zoo experience! Each 45-minute time slot features four different vendors, all located in Booth 533. There will also be Go Wild! prize drawings during each time slot (must be present to win).
