EdTech 2009 - Beyond the Limits

Welcome to the SC EdTech conference site. SC EdTech offers content and activities that span all areas of educational technology with diverse workshops, presentations, speakers, exhibitors, and recognition events. Until 2002, S.C. EdTech was hosted and managed by the South Carolina Department of Education in partnership with business and industry. Today, the conference is managed by the South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET), a 501c3 non-profit organization.

The 2009 conference theme takes participants to different heights in educational technology professional development. With over 100 concurrent workshops and presentations and over 200 exhibit booths, there should be a lot to take in and do. Keep up with the latest conference news under "Latest News" and through the links above. Be sure to check out inside information from presenters and exhibitors by joining the free conference Discussion Forum.

Watch for updates and news related to the conference on this page and its links. You can look forward to opening of the annual Call for Proposals to Present in January, nominations being accepted for the Technology Innovative Programs Awards (TIP) and the ISTE/SCAET Making IT Happen Award later in early 2009.

Mark your calendars and set your plans for October 14-16, 2009, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of S.C.A.E.T. and the Conference Planning Committee, welcome to SC EdTech and we hope you have an enjoyable, positive, and productive conference experience.

Don Cantrell
Conference Director
